Job purpose:
We seek a highly motivated, detail oriented, business-minded professional with
creativity, initiative, teamwork and project management skills to help drive our security
services practice, managing executive protection task delivery, embedded consultants,
security training and other risk management solutions for clients.
The role of Senior Consultant is that of a fee-earning consultant who will be expected
to market, sell and deliver end-to-end security and consulting engagements.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Work with team members on executive protection management and delivery, training
program creation and delivering, managing the embedded consultant program and
individual projects as well as general engagements of diverse scope and complexity,
consistent with industry best practice and drawing on personal experiences. Specific
tasks to be carried out with guidance from senior team members include:
Manage executive protection teams and contracts delivering a high standard of
service to clients throughout the region
Create and manage opportunities to provide protective and embedded solutions to
clients
Deliver security related trainings, including high risk environment and defensive
driver training, enhancing clients’ preventative and reactive abilities
Manage embedded security consultants throughout the region, providing a
sounding board for advice and acting as a direct line manager, as well as providing
support to the client
Provide expertise and delivery on specialist subjects, such as executive protection
program audits and design
Keep current on industry trends and practices
Conduct research on current and potential clients’ industries, firm backgrounds,
levels of risk exposure, organizational structures and missions
Provide team members with unique perspectives on how to improve services,
efficiency and client delivery
Develop, design and deliver scenario-based exercises for client training and
testing
Independently identify prospects and lead business development activities
including (but not limited to) conducting client meetings, scoping and writing
proposals
Provide end-to-end project management for client engagements, including serving
as a client’s primary contact and managing a delivery team
Write thought leadership/white papers on topics relevant to our clients’ operating
environments and risk profiles
Collaborate across organization to help us better solve complicated client
problems
Knowledge and experience
Essential
A minimum of two years’ experience in Latin America or Latin America project
work
Able to collaborate effectively within a team and having the ability to work
independently and self-regulate
Excellent client relationship skills with a successful track record of sales and
engagement delivery in a high-performing management environment
Ownership and accountability to drive success both within the team and across the
organization
Able to multi-task and balance competing requirements, including client-facing,
business development-related and internal matters
Ability to travel 30-60% of the time and on short notice.
Preferred
Work experience in security or a related professional field (military, law enforcement, intelligence, etc.)
Over five years’ experience in Mexico as a private security professional
Previous experience in a commercial executive protection management role in Mexico
Experience in and knowledge of corporate security policies and procedures, crime
prevention, investigations, public safety training and life safety programs
PSP and CPP certification
Security training experience or qualifications – particularly in defensive driver training
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant work experience or 10 years’ experience in the security industry
Minimum three years in the private security industry.
