Summary:
The Security Manager for AAH Syrian mission is responsible for monitoring the daily security operations, implement security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure that the mission manages properly external and internal risks promoting a safe environment for employers and visitors to perform its duties. To develop mission information management strategy and its implementation at mission level.
The security manager oversees the security management in the mission.

The operational security management relies in the hands of the Security Manager supported by the Logistic Coordinator and the heads of base.
Will establish and maintain a network of contacts, collect the security related information related to the context, will analyze the risks and propose the risk reduction measures associated to the identified risks. Delegate tasks and duties to the support staff.
Will also oversee training and sensitizing the staff in security related issues.
Is responsible for the implementation of the security management tools (security plan and it’s update when necessary).
Do you meet the profile required criteria?
Political Science or Law or Statistic or any other related field
International Humanitarian Law, Security management, Logistics, Disaster Risk Management, Duty of Care, Compliance.
5 years, Verbal and written communication skills, Professional personal presentation, Customer service orientation, Information management, Organizing and planning, Attention to detail, Initiative, Reliability, Stress tolerance
Humanitarian sector knowledge: is a must
Action Against the Hunger knowledge: Preferable
Languages: English and Arabic
Mobility (national/ international): Based in Damascus with the possibility to travel within and outside of Syria

Formal work contract: 12 months
Base: Damascus

In addition:
Guest House or similar accommodation covered by the organization
Travel costs to and from the mission.
Expat Health, repatriation, travel and life insurance covered by the organization
Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old): from 100€ to 225€ monthly (according to standard list of Action against Hunger -Spain).
Break: additional rest period, including travel cost to a reference area and economic help of 215€.
