Who we are?
IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management
Responsibilities:
Team participation
Contributes to good communication among all team members and between departments and programs, ensuring others are adequately informed of reporting and IT activities to elicit good collaboration
Respects the procedures of other departments and agrees to contribute and support others for successful collaboration
Security and Safety:
Attend meetings on humanitarian access, security and safety.
Draft and updating Security policies and procedures.
Design evacuation plans for facilities.
Prepare of bi-monthly and monthly reports summarizing security events in the organization’s work areas.
Prepare incident reports and inform donors in the event of any incident which have impact on the facility activities or staff.
Update security plans for all facilities including risk analysis and standard procedures.
Follow up the file of the neutralization of humanitarian facilities with the United Nations.
Prepare information security plans and supervising the implementation.
Train the staff on the evacuation, security and safety plans including standard procedures.
Carries out other duties:
Adheres to IDA’s rules and regulations
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information, including financial and human resource data
Performs any other duties requested by the Line Manager or General Director according to professional capacity
Qualifications:
Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Microsoft Windows) and software
Minimum experience of 2 years in NGOs
Stable and robust character, and team player
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, fluent in Arabic.
Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles.
Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn from others.
Ability to multitask and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines.
Ability to cope with high workload and stress.
Identify priority activities
Eligible to work legally in Turkey.
