Camp Manager , Somalia

Location : Mogadishu, Somalia

Are you a talented Camp Manager with 10 year of experience, ideally have experience in managing large scale labour camps and knowledge of facilities management of Camps as per international standards. This position is going to be based in Somalia.


Selected candidate must be able to:

Developing scheduled and preventative maintenance plans as per manufacturer recommendation and assuring strict compliance with the same. This is to include all camp equipment not limited to Power lines and water lines, DB/SDB, water and waste water storage tanks, AC, lights, Refers, chiller, Generators, laundry equipment WTP & WWTP Plants, DFAC and kitchen equipment (including OASIS), water heaters, fire extinguishers, X-ray machines, Incinerator and similar.

Maintain hard and soft copies of all maintenance and breakdown reports.

Responsible for overall camp cleanliness and hygiene for all shared facilities;

Assuring list of spare parts and consumables are ordered and followed up in timely manner. Any consumed items are to be adequately replaced to account for delivery times.

Responding to any breakdowns within the RAI premises, including RAI Base camp, Marine camp, all sector camps and any temporary set up required to support any of the RA International projects.

Assessing camps, accommodation, life support facilities (apart from DFAC) and equipment (including DFAC) across Somalia Operation and submit timely monthly reports to Country Manager ensuring set-ups and facilities are suited to support contract execution and future growth.

Set ups and operation of Laundries across Somalia Operation. Revisit all Waste Management plans for entire Operation and ensure contingency plans are in place for lockdowns and similar.

Ordering and maintenance of equipment for Guests and staff welfare including Sectors.

Liaising with nominated life support representatives on each Sector and conduct ad hoc as well as follow up visits site visits to each sector location.

Working in close relation with other departments and timely request required skills for assistance when and where required.

Communicate, follow up and inspect the conducted works by other departments within your area of responsibility.

Providing supervision, guidance and training to team under your remit.

Assist in hiring process by reviewing CV`s, conducting technical interviews, appraisals and recommend promotions or replacements as required to keep pace with Operational growth/downsizing.

Relieve hospitality manager when proceeding on R&R.

You will perform additional duties under the guidance of Country Manager;
