Purpose of the Job
To proactively manage all aspects of the field security related to asset protection, intelligence gathering, risk assessment and provide useful reports needed for decision making. The role is also responsible for the overall security of the facility and other company assets in the field.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
Act as the focal point for all security matters in the field and implement the requirements of the Field Security Plan
Review and provide updates for all security and contingency plans and procedures
Provide regular reports and assessment to the Security Advisor for analysis and decision making
Provision of timely, relevant and proactive intelligence to curb disruption of field operations by youths, militant/ criminals
Coordinate the activities of members of the Military Joint Task Force and Mobile Police attached to the facility
Interface with the Community Affairs team, providing intelligence requirements and support for effective liaison, monitoring and implementation of community development projects
Initiating and sustaining relationships with Government regulatory agencies
Support in security risk assessment and analysis, vulnerability assessment, security survey and make recommendations for effective management
Coordinate journey management for travelers
Coordinate and manage company’s emergency response preparedness plan
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other field specific security documentation
Work closely with the UPIL surveillance team to ensure adequate security of the pipeline
Work Experience/ Qualification
Minimum of 6 - 7 years’ cognate experience preferably in the oil and gas sector or service providing sector
Military/paramilitary experience will be an added advantage
