Tearfund have an exciting opportunity for an International Safety & Security Manager to support safety and security in the delivery of Tearfund’s operational and partner-led interventions.

The role will play a fundamental part in further embedding the organisation’s culture around effective safety and security management working directly with Tearfund’s teams internationally.

You will lead:
the security team in supporting the board, and ET in setting the standards, risk level and guidance for all security and non-UK safety issues.
the security team in providing ongoing support to enable them to stay within the appropriate risk levels and reduce the risks of impact when security events happen.
the security team in supporting the response to any security issue.
the security team in reflecting, learning and improving Tearfund’s ability to manage and mitigate security issues within the agreed risk levels.

You will have proven experience in decision-making on safety and security in humanitarian and/or development work overseas. A creative problem-solver, with a strong focus on people and working with others, you will be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising based on significance, and under tight timelines and in close cooperation with multiple stakeholders.
