Hiring Criteria
7 years (min) Operational Security Management experience.
Former SNCO or above.
Must have experience of writing, complex security plans; coupled with developing standard operating procedures for the project locations.
Must have strong understanding of financial accounts for payroll, as well as operational expenses for the project.
Must have a good understanding of Health and Safety at work; making sure the HSE manager is informed of all issues in a timely manner.
Must have experience to lead the team from the front; setting high standards for all to follow.
Must be able to communicate with clients and prepare daily reports as well prepare security briefs as required.
Must have experience of dealing with Government officials; understand the complexity of local stakeholders and their position in Afghanistan.
Strong communications and IT skills, including use of all Microsoft programmes; Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook.
Must be able to deploy to all GW projects across Afghanistan - inclusive of areas where certain nationalities are banned from travelling.
Job Duties
Under the direction of the Regional Director Afghanistan, build and maintain the operational platform to deliver GW’s security services to the other clients in Afghanistan
Deputise for the Regional Operations Manager (4 weeks)
Manage all operational activities with GW to include:
Provide operational input into all GW Afghanistan proposals
Produce and maintain SOPs for all GW clients
Where required coordinate with IOCs on min standards
Maintain the operational standards of the GW Afghanistan team which are driven by GW Operations
Business Development
Provide operational and administrative support to all GW Afghanistan clients.
Will support the RMT in all activities relating to the region
Will be the point of contact for all expatriate staff on GW projects, this will include communication regarding leave rotations
Will prepare all end of month accounts, these will include float expenses, LN wages
Will review all security plans once a month; adapt the plan to fit with any new clients operating standards
Prepare and submit all vehicle movement schedules to operations/clients on a daily basis
Communicate training needs to the in-country training manager on a weekly basis
Supply the resource manager with a weekly report on issues with equipment’s for the project
Responsible for PSC1 and HSE compliance
Operational and contractual compliance responsibility for all contracts in AFG
Assist RD with business development
Manage all vendor relationships and vendor contract compliance.
Any other tasks that arrive.

Shadow the Regional Operations Manager, in all aspects of GW Afghanistan operations/support
Responsible for the day to day operational aspects of the RMT
Responsible for daily administrative/training requirements of RMT
Assistance in production of all GW SOPs in Afghanistan
Oversee the RMT operations room, journey management and watchkeeper staff
Oversee operational support for out of province operations, to all projects Afghanistan wide
Provide technical & daily operational support to all projects Afghanistan wide
Oversee incident management
Engage with GIRoA, RS/Police key stakeholders
Maintain current clients base, develop and expand Ad-hoc business
Delivery of Ad-Hoc tasking’s inclusive of pricing, quotes and operational provision
Primary point of contact for all Ad-Hoc client engagement
Manage & maintain the RMT leave plot
Manage & maintain the HCN rota
Mentor HQ-Team Leader
Manage RMT vehicle fleet, including servicing, weekly checks
Support to ROM as required
