Job Advert:
The Middle East Security Plans, Compliance and Assurance Manager (MESPCAM) plans, designs and supports operation, assures security risk programmes across the region. Responsible for conformance to BP Security Group Guide and other applicable policies and procedures related to risk management.
Reports to BP Group Deputy Head, Intelligence, Security & Crisis Management and Vice President Security Middle East (VPSME)

Key Responsibilities
Functional interface with Intelligence, Security & Crisis Management at the day to day operational level
Oversight, management and quality control of the data entry as it relates to the Unified Risk Picture (URP) process
Responsible for Security Risk Management Reporting (RMR) across the Middle East (less Iraq)
Ensures compliance with BPs commitments as a signatory to the Voluntary Principles and Security on Human Rights programme (VPSHR)
Will be the lead interface with Procurement, Contracting and Supply Chain (PSCM) as it relates to Private Security contracts across the Middle East Region
Ensures country security strategies and plans across the Middle East Regionare compliant with Operational Management Systems (OMS) and Group Defined Practices (GDP)
Middle East responsibilities
Create and maintain documentationin accordance with corporate guidelines for all Middle East (ME) countries that do not have a Business Security Manager (BSM) in the line.
Develop and implement regional security exercises.
Implement and maintain a document control and action tracker system system .
Security advice andassistance for Downstream market entry and business activity in Iraq.
Oversee the established Assurance and Compliance program for Private Security Companies used by BP entities across the Middle East.
Security support to business development activity and new market entry regionally.
Interface with Regional Security Advisor and Intelligence, Security & Crisis Management to inform the line oflatest BP developments and risk management processes.
Conduct ground security assessments to inform the raising/lowering of threat levels and associated travel policies.
Maintain and deliverthe ME Insider Threat program.
Provide security advice and training (Kidnap and Personal Security Awareness) to BP personnel based inthe ME region.
Interface with the Response Information Centre (RIC) to ensure accurate information databases on ME business activity.
Coach and mentor Business Security Managers (BSM) inthe ME region and act as the de facto BSM for those countries with no line representation.
Manage key supplier relationships and maintain awareness of security industry and technology developments which might enhance BP security frameworks.
Complete executive protection plans to support VIP visits to the region. Be prepared to act as Personal Protection Officer (PPO) for VIP visitors in the region as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
Proven operational management experience in a demandingHigh-Risk Environments.
Ideally would have experience of working in a management position within a Private Security Company (PSM minimum).
Ability todemonstrate a high level of diligence, initiative and accuracy with limited supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication ability.
Tact and diplomacy, ability to influence and persuade senior business leaders.
Ability to presentclearly and confidently to senior BP managers.
Ability to assimilate and extrapolate information quickly and accurately.
Previous Oil and Gas security operations experience or similar
