Job description
We are seeking a Senior Manager Security Operations, based in Mozambique, working for an international Mining Operator.
The purpose of the role is too direct all operational security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, facilities, and assets.
Direct intelligence processes and Ariel surveillance management. Plan and manage all physical operations on the concession and inside the area of responsibility.
Reporting to the HOD Security, you will act as assistant HOD when needed.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with policies on Human rights. All regulations and directives
Initiate, asses, process and implement all intelligence actions.
Manage and organize the operations room to facilitate watch-keeping, operational and intelligence actions.
Initiate investigations and keep record of incidents
Report back to HOD Security
Planning and implementing security procedure action
Coordinate activities of security management system
Implementing rules and regulations for a safe working environment
Preparing security reports
Liaising with all other depts. On security matters
Manage and supervise security staff
Manage and support Ariel surveillance
Manage and support current security programme
Requirements
15 years experience in armed forces / other security agencies
Competent professional with experience in Mining, Armed forces or Private Security environment
Minimum High school graduate. Military OR police qualifications important
PSIRA Grade A.
Qualified and Trained Security Professional
Industrial / Mining / O&G industry experience ideal
Strong ability to face critical and dangerous situations
Result orientated and self motivated
Ability to deal with security problems
In depth knowledge of security environment
Exceptional supervisory skills
