Department Crisis and Security Consulting
Manager Partner, Crisis and Security Consulting (based in Mexico City)
Job purpose
We seek a highly motivated, detail oriented, business-minded professional with
creativity, initiative, teamwork and project management skills to help drive our crisis
and security consulting practice inclusive of security solutions, crisis management,
business continuity, enterprise risk management, supply chain risk management,
emergency response and a broad range of various impact reduction consultancy
engagements.
The role of Senior Consultant is that of a fee-earning consultant who will be expected
to market, sell and deliver end-to-end security and crisis management consulting
engagements.
Tasks and responsibilities
Work with team members on security risk consulting and crisis management
engagements of diverse scope and complexity, consistent with industry best practice
and drawing on personal experiences. Specific tasks to be carried out with guidance from senior team members include:
Support corporate/global security program reviews
Write security assessments and reports for security consulting projects
Keep current on industry trends and practices
Conduct research on current and potential clients’ industries, firm backgrounds,
levels of risk exposure, organizational structures and missions
Provide team members with unique perspectives on how to improve services,
efficiency and client delivery
Assess, design, implement and improve end-to-end programs and capabilities
across all previously stated focus areas
Develop, design and deliver scenario-based exercises for client training and
testing
Independently identify prospects and lead business development activities
including (but not limited to) conducting client meetings, scoping and writing
proposals
Provide end-to-end project management for client engagements, including serving
as a client’s primary contact and managing a delivery team
Write thought leadership/white papers on topics relevant to our clients’ operating
environments and risk profiles
Collaborate across Company to help us better solve complicated client
problems
Knowledge and experience Essential
Able to collaborate effectively within a team and having the ability to work
independently and self-regulate
Excellent client relationship skills with a successful track record of sales and
engagement delivery in a high-performing management environment
Ownership and accountability to drive success both within the team and across the
organization
Able to multi-task and balance competing requirements, including client-facing,
business development-related and internal matters
A minimum of 8-10 years of work experience, including significant experience in
security consulting, crisis management and business continuity and at least some
experience in enterprise risk management, supply chain risk management and/or
emergency response
Ability to travel 30-60% of the time and on short notice
Preferred
Work experience in security or a related professional field (military, law
enforcement, intelligence, etc.)
Experience in and knowledge of corporate security policies and procedures, crime
prevention, investigations, public safety training and life safety programs
PSP and CPP certification
Qualifications and specialist skills
Minimum of a master’s degree (or equivalent) or a bachelor’s degree and 5 years
of relevant work experience
Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
Portuguese preferred, not essential
Exceptional communication skills (written and interpersonal)
Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
Able to multitask and balance competing requirements
Solid client relationship skills
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
