SGI Global LLC is seeking experienced fluent Spanish speaking Law Enforcement Instructors to train Law Enforcement forces in Mexico
Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting classroom instruction, curriculum related practical exercises, and associated instructor facilitated group discussions in accordance with training guidelines and learning objectives and as directed by the Lead Instructor.
Responsible for ensuring only current and approved training materials (lesson plans, participant handouts, Power Point and other audio-video presentations, case studies, etc.) are utilized in the delivery of courses.
Responsible for returning to the Lead Instructor all training materials, both written and those electronically saved on thumb-drives or other storage devices, and ensuring all downloaded materials are deleted at the end of the training course.
As directed by the Lead Instructor, assist in coordination with the government Training Delivery Officer on all aspects of the training program.
Assist Lead Instructor with physical arrangements for classroom preparation, practical exercise venues, and instructional aids.
Assist Lead Instructor with preparing course After-Action Report, administering/reviewing Pre/Post Course Questionnaire, Course Participant Skills Evaluations (when appropriate) and Course Evaluation utilizing approved reporting format.
Assist Lead Instructor in the delivery of all training activities as reflected in the program of instruction and any related support.
Maintain high level of professionalism and personal conduct during and outside of normal training hours, and interacting with government personnel, course participants and training venue officials
Qualifications:
Ten (10) years of professional work experience in law enforcement and international police experience.
Ability to provide instruction in Spanish (at a minimum level of 4 speaking/4 reading). Please refer to https://careers.state.gov/faq-items/language-proficiency-definitions/ for language proficiency criteria
Basic understanding of the investigative responsibilities under the Mexican law and new accusatory system.
At least five (5) years of expertise and experience teaching courses and conducting investigations in at least one of the following (please specify on resume title the area of expertise):
Kidnapping Investigations
Homicide Investigations
Adjudications
Project Management (PMP certification)
Tactical Medicine
Toxicology Evaluation
Missing Persons Investigation
Trafficking in Persons, Human Smuggling
Arms Trafficking Investigations
Major Theft Investigation
Special Victims Investigation- Sexual Abuse
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated course development and instruction experience (certification preferred). Preferred candidate will also have demonstrated experience with coordinating training programs and managing instructors.
Familiar with contemporary curriculum design and development concepts as well as adult learning methodologies
Graduate of any local, state or federal law enforcement academy or institution.
Instructor Development Certification (or equivalent instructor training program) from a recognized local, state, or federal law enforcement (or military) institution.
Must be willing to travel to Mexico to perform duties for a minimum of 10 business days per training program.
Proficiency with computer software programs and tools including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail.
Demonstrated ability to improvise, adapt and preserve in a fluid environment, and under challenging circumstances.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with high-ranking government officials in diplomatic and/or law enforcement environments.
Demonstrated experience in using management, interpersonal, and communications skills in a team environment, and professional law enforcement setting.
U.S. Government Security Clearance may be required.
