What is the purpose of this work?
The Head of Security and Protection will facilitate the implementation of the Policy and the Safety and Protection Standards of organization within the framework of the Response to emergencies and will promote the systemic change in the quality of safety and protection management, contributing to compliance with the minimum standards of security and protection on the part of the countries. This position plays a key role in the training of Security and Protection Focal Points in countries and other members of country teams.
The Head of Security and Protection will work closely with the Security Committee and the Security Focal Points in the countries to implement security plans and security and protection assessments; advise; and ensure its application in the Emergency Response.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop the strategy and plan of Security and Planning
Develop the Safety and Protection Policy of organization in accordance with international standards (CHS, Sphere, UE and others).
Develop security plans in all countries.
Develop and review standard safety procedures, operative for all countries
Periodic reports
Implement security actions
Develop and review security risk assessments in all countries.
Advise and support countries in situations of crisis and critical incidents.
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure that all safety and protection equipment is accessible and in good condition, including communication equipment (radios, satellites, telephones, etc.)
Develop action plans and make decisions in crisis situations as a member of the safety committee
Manage safety training
3.1. Define the lines of training to be received by staff in countries on security issues.
3.2. Promote a safety culture.
REQUIREMENTS
Training
Higher education in social sciences and valuable postgraduate studies in security studies
Languages
Excellent fluency in French and Spanish English
Experience
High experience in security management
Experience in non-governmental organizations / third sector
Experience in imparting training
Knowledge
High knowledge of tools, mechanisms and procedures for personal and organizational security
Approach to children's rights
Competencies
Orientation to results, problem solving and work under pressure (in crisis situations)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex technical information in a simple and articulated way
Didactic capacity to design and impart training
Ability to prioritize tasks related to security
Ability to formulate and communicate the analysis of the changing security environment

€ 35,000-39,000 gross per year
