RedR UK is seeking to recruit an experienced Security Manager. As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of RedR’s global security policy.
The ideal candidate will support RedR’s organisational humanitarian security work at our London headquarters, and our regional offices in Sudan, Kenyan, and Jordan. You will have experience of crisis management, security management, and reviewing the development of security plans and SOPs.
This role will involve some international travel to regions that may be politically unstable.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
In-depth understanding of managing security within INGO’s at the organisational and country programme level
Proven experience of assessing and managing risk
Proven experience of establishing systems and procedures, and ensuring organisational buy-in
Experience and understanding of training delivery
A self-starter with effective workload management skills and ability to use initiative to solve problems
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and networking skills
Computer literacy in MS Office
Willingness and ability to undertake potentially extensive (weeks, not months) travel internationally and also travel to often insecure and difficult environments
