The Close Protection Detail Leader should have outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with the Principal, their family, their team, and all stakeholders. They are responsible for the efficient operations of a high-profile celebrity Close Protection Detail by applying comprehensive leadership principles and clear decision making at all times. Customer service and the ability to take care of the Principal and their family needs are number one. This is a full-time position with benefits, and is located in Los Angeles, CA, and the surrounding areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Provide outstanding customer service
•Provide close protection of the Principal at family estate, shows, events, and all locations where the Principal travels
•Direct and coordinate actions of the assigned team at all times
•Plan and prepare the team for Principal movements to include route surveys, site surveys, and communications
•Daily engagement with the Principal and staff

•Timely completion of team schedules by Friday afternoon ensuring complete detail coverage at all times
•Strong leadership is paramount to ensure team unity
•Ensure that all issues that arise are dealt with swiftly, communicated effectively, and reported to management immediately to ensure the issue has been resolved, and the team can continue operations
•Hold team members accountable for all actions and provide guidance and wisdom when appropriate
•Continuous training will be an ongoing process
•In all emergencies, the Detail Leader will ensure first responder responsibilities will be carried out
•Document and report all incidents
•Complete a weekly activity report by every Sunday evening
•Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements

• Current and active CA BSIS Guard Card
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in PSD work, Executive Protection, or other high risk close protection experience
• Must be physically fit, presentable, dress appropriately for the environment, and maintain high alertness level during long hours
• Must be able to blend in to the Principal's environment when a security presence is not visibly desired
• Must have demonstrated strong leadership experience
• Candidate and team will work on holidays, nights, and weekends. Position includes travel outside the U.S.
• Effective communications skills with phone/email/radio
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
• Reliable transportation
• Will be required to sign a confidentiality & non-disclosure agreement

• Proficient use of MS Word, MS Outlook, and individual will learn company payroll software

• Minimum of 3 References that backstop the qualifications and experience of the candidate



Desired Requirements

• Military SOF, U.S. Secret Service, Army CID, and other combat arms or Close Protection related positions are strongly desired

• Prior training in Tactical Combat Casualty Care, emergency medicine, hand to hand proficiency, and threat reducing tactics paramount
