Security Manager required in Afghanistan by a leading supplier of fuel related services!
The Security Manager will be responsible for implementing an effective security strategy across all operations in Afghanistan.

As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for implementing an effective security strategy to secure our people and operations in country (and our office and supply chain), as well as ensuring plans are in place so that incidents are dealt with effectively, business disruption is minimized and customer relationships are protected.
Key Responsibilities
Security Management
Develop and embed effective risk mitigation strategies, security protocols, standard operating procedures and guidelines based on best practice to cover staff and operations in theatre, including on-base security, off-base movement, and off-base facility security.
Develop and embed effective operational security protocols to ensure information pertaining to people, movements and operations is protected from compromise.
Ownership, management and review of relevant country-wide response plans, including the country evacuation plan, and crisis management plan.
Manage a program of site security reviews to ensure physical protection in place in all off-base locations is adequate.
Develop and advise on loss prevention strategies to minimize fuel loss.
Define requirement, plan, and manage any relevant security-related training for theatre staff.
Incident Management
Ensure adequate emergency planning is in place for all locations.
Manage all security incidents in theatre, including investigation, analysis, and follow-up.
Post-incident analysis of incidents, including those affecting 3rd party contractors.
Plan and manage regular in-country incident/crisis management exercises
Risk Analysis
Manage intelligence program to ensure accurate, relevant information is available to inform decision-making.
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of regional dynamics and strategic security situation within Afghanistan and its potential impact on business, as well as detailed tactical knowledge to inform operations and movements.
Develop relationships with a wide variety of stake-holders, including military, government, local, and security providers.
Production of threat assessments for regions, locations, routes, as required.
Secondary Position Objectives
Oversight of security management for Pakistan, including Karachi office, and convoy security.
Ensure all locations and critical functions have effective business continuity plans in place.
Conduct theatre-wide Business Impact Analysis
Coordination and management of any required business continuity testing/exercising.
The Individual
Experience/Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of security management in hostile environments is essential.
The successful candidate is likely to have first-hand security management experience in Afghanistan.
Intelligence handling/management experience in military, government, or corporate context preferred.
Ex-military and ex-government candidates preferred.
Relevant security qualifications, such as CPP or similar, desirable.
Professional knowledge of crisis management and business continuity planning desirable.
