HQ PSD Team Leader - Kabul

GardaWorld now seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Consultants for an HQ PSD Team Leader

Hiring Criteria
Should have at least 4 years military service with records of holding a senior position in military structure, which proves command and control skills.
Should have records of being employed on similar to GardaWorld projects in Afghanistan
Should have at least 2 years’ experience in Afghanistan with the same or other known private security company
Should have a wide knowledge related to aspects of security operation in Afghanistan especially, in the area the GardaWorld HQ project is located. 

Should have no civil or military disciplinary action records or sentencing penning.
In date frontline SIA license (for UK expats and countries that offer international equivalent)
To have attended and passed an accredited CP course.   
Must pass GW / Hire –Right screening and vetting process
Must pass all required CDC training courses
Must possess FPOS, MIRA or equivalent medical courses certificates.
Must be physically fit and be able to pass physical test exam.
Must have minimum/intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word software’s and be computer literate
Must possess knowledge and be able to operates  VHF /HF communication system and GPS’s
Should be capable to work independently as a part of multinational team consists of Afghan nationals and expatriates.
Must be capable to adapt into work and life support condition related to isolated and demanding environment of complex project.
Must present logistics and equipment management skills required on a section commander level.

Job Duties

Provide operational support to the GW HQ-Ops in all HQ activities.

Conduct duties as a Team Leader of mobile security team. Protect clients, company employees and assets within living and working premises and mobile security missions outside of secured areas.
Ensure that GW HSE and Operations policies instructions, regulations and procedures specific to the project location are implemented and followed by all team members
Liaise with the GW HQ OPs manager to ensure the team vehicles, communication, medical, weapons and other equipment is fully operational, serviceable and mission ready at all times.
Take part in security task planning and briefings organised by GW HQ-Operations Manager.
Liaise with GW HQ-Operations Manager, Local National administration team and watchkeepers to ensure, that the team (weapons, vehicles and personnel) is MOI and GIRoA compliant.
Produce briefings for clients and team members prior to security missions.
Organise and deliver training as per the GW standard training matrix to team members on a weekly and monthly basis.
Submit weekly and monthly training reports to GW HQ-Operations Manager.
Manage Incidents, write HSE and GW incidents reports and statements.
Inform the HQ-Operations Manager immediately after any occurrence of issues which may affect team performance and operational readiness.
Support GW HQ-Operations Manager as required
Take part in Afghan National’s selection and induction training process.

GardaWorld offers a competitive daily rate (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty)

Entry visa activation

The Consultant shall be responsible and liable for the multi-entry visa cost, as required in order to deliver the Services. Such costs incurred by the Company shall be charged to the Consultant and deducted from the Fees as applicable.

Flight Package
The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.

Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.

For example: If the cost to deploy GW Contractor from his local airport hub to Afghanistan is more than GBP1300 using diplomatic flights or £1000 with commercial airlines then any additional costs will be borne by the contractor
