Job Description
Reporting to International Security Activity (ISA) Leader (Europe, Russia/CIS, Israel, Canada, Latin America) The Security Adviser Americas, based in Brazil and working from the Boeing International at San Jose dos Campos office will provide direct support to International Security Activity with specific responsibilities for security support to all Boeing, Subsidiary and Joint Venture offices and programs in the Latin America Region.


The Security Adviser (Americas) position will be responsible for security advice and support to
Boeing International and Program/Campaign offices and deployments throughout South America and investigative and consultancy support on a regular basis.  The appointment will also be required to support Boeing programs elsewhere, as directed by Regional Leader (Europe, Russia/CIS, Israel, Canada, and Latin America) and be available to ISA for emergency deployments worldwide.  The appointment will require regular travel within Latin America to support Boeing operations and occasional travel worldwide to attend ISA meetings.

Responsibilities will include consulting, advising and applying technical  and operational expertise to assess risks, providing guidance and solving problems related to  expatriate, local hire and traveling personnel, physical and information security, industrial security, investigations, access control and administration, export compliance, emergency preparedness, crisis management, computing security, residential security, security education, training and special projects, together with other duties, as required by management.

The position requires routine engagement and coordination with Boeing International Enterprise Services Team, the US Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and US Embassy/Consulate Regional Security staff.

The selected candidate will coordinate with Company Security & Fire Protection personnel, to support close protection programs for executives and VIP’s, Sales and Marketing events, Flight Test and Satellite system operations. The successful candidate will develop and implement traveller assistance processes and procedures, international threat assessments, and crisis management and evacuation plans. The Security Adviser will conduct investigations into suspected violations of company rules and other cases, involving matters of dishonesty, unacceptable conduct, fraud, waste or abuse, and prepare comprehensive investigative reports for management.

Qualifications
Must have strong investigative skills and experience in implementing information protection programmes, and evidence abilities to solve complex problems, involving the protection of people, information and property in a global environment.
A proven track record in applying intuitively based security risk management, on a multi-disciplinary basis, is an important requirement.
Ability to interact comfortably and lucidly with senior executives, managers, customers and International Business Unit Leaders is critically important.
Previous experience of operating within the Region is essential, as well as English, Spanish and Portuguese language skills. Must be available for frequent (up to 25%) travel away from home.
Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree associated with the work stream and 10-15 associated experience.
Relevant understanding of government regulations and local laws is required.
Must be deployable throughout Latin America.
Must have broad experience of applying multi-disciplinary security processes within a security risk management framework
