He/she supervises and controls ship entry; completes safety rounds around the ship; and conducts security inspections on the crew cabins
The Security Guard Supervisor also supervises the Security Guards during gangway operations.
Candidates must have managerial, organizational, interpersonal, enforcement, and conflict-resolution skills; procedural knowledge such as security-related civil and criminal law; and STCW 95 required Basic Safety certificates. Preferred candidates have experience in army/maritime/aviation/police, or hotel security environment; counter terrorism; and physical security.
