Overview of duties
To look after the safety and well being of all guests and colleagues making sure they cause no harm to themselves and others due to unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
To train all officers on all aspects of security and safety with full responsibility of Emergency Response Plans.

Main responsibilities
Run all security shifts professionally and responsibly.

·Directs and co-ordinates the activities of all security personnel.

·Ensures the all hotel area and property are adequately secured at all the times.

·Co-ordinates with outside police agencies in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, etc, involving the hotel, its employees, or guests.

·Prepares daily incident reports, requisitions, and other office memos.

·Ensures that all allegations of the crimes and other incidents are investigated and recorded.

·Prepares annual security goals.

·Organize the tasks for security officer’s ad supervisor.
Know thoroughly all Emergency Response Plans and Immediate Actions.
Train; further educate all Security Officers under your direct responsibility Install Mercure policies, procedures, Code of Ethics on all Security Officers.
Attend all training requested by the Management.

·Liases with department heads to ensure hotel staff are adhering to established security procedures.

·Establishes comprehensive key control.

·To follow and adhere to all systems and procedures as lay down by the chief security.

·To ensure that all security staff are aware of their standards of performance as per the welcome charter.

·To conduct regular training within the department.

·To ensure high standards of personal hygiene is maintained within the department.

·To ensure that hotel grooming standards are maintained at all the times.

·To ensure all security staff follows that house rules.

·To be aware of all emergency procedures.

·To ensure that all hazards are reported.

·To promote team work within the department & ensure equality at workplace is maintained without sexual discrimination and harassment.

·To strictly adhere to the hotels policy on confidentiality and ethic.

·To perform all other tasks as requested by the management.

·Check all the security emergency equipments.
Controls Employees behaviour.
Monitoring of CCTV images, checking equipments for continuous recording.
Responding to fire and bomb threats and take appropriate action in accordance with hotel emergency and security procedures.
Attend to all accidents and give assistance as necessary.
Check and follow up gate passes.
Maintain accurate working record for all agency workers.
Attend to all hotel guests giving assistance or directions as required.
Watch for! Tools/equipments that is defective, unsafe and wrong for the job.
Understand the laws, government regulation, and policies of the hotel and ensure that all duties are carried out with regard to the safety of guests, colleagues, visitors and contractors on the hotel property in responsible way.
Carry out other duties as required by the Chief Security and management.
