Position Synopsis :
Support security and risk services at various sites at Mine Closure Operations for the protection of people and property. Managing the risks, where Closure personnel are undertaking activities in remote areas and are exposed to criminal threats. This risk includes unauthorized access with the risk of criminal intent at MCO properties, where Closure personnel could be confronted by criminals or illegal intruders and the loss of company owned property due to theft.
REQUIREMENTS:
Serious contenders will have a Degree / BTECH / National Diploma in Security Management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAPS, military service, detective or private security capacity;
Experience in supervising and managing teams is essential;
Registration with PSiRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) will be advantageous;
Prior experience in mining security will be advantageous;
Knowledge of the mining / processing environment is essential;
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Contribute to the protection of people and assets from loss and injury through implementation and management of a multi-disciplined Security Management Plan and Monitoring Program;
Contribute to the review of the Material Risk profile for Security;
Conduct security threat and risk assessments at all MCO sites at prescribe periods and implement controls when work is conducted in isolation or in remote areas;
Create Security Management Plan that constitutes a "Standard Operating Procedure" relating to physical, cyber, and procedural security for all areas;
Create Site Maps reveal the restricted areas of each area, as well as the physical security layouts that protection of such areas;
Drives organization, cultural and innovation change for the Security Section within MCO;
Analyze and evaluate Security Execution activities to identify risks or opportunities for improvement;
Establish principles for Security Control room and response in accordance with human rights and reputational impact;
Manages system availability and ensure that appropriate maintenance programmes are in place, individual profiling and data analyses;
Group profiling based on patterns, personal space indicators and collusion situational risk indicators;
Formulates and compiles system operational procedures for use at all levels of the 3-tier surveillance operation and manages the process on an ongoing basis.
