We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Security Advisor in Brussels, Belgium (non-expatriate position).
Primary Assignment
As a global security professional at ExxonMobil, you will provide security subject matter expertise and support implementation of security programs to enhance business performance to a range of business in Belgium, The Netherlands and other European countries.
You will work under the guidance and mentoring of senior security professionals in a dynamic regional team. You will need to be a self-starter, comfortable working on your own, influencing without authority and working effectively in a multi-cultural, international / global corporate setting.
You will be expected to travel regularly and be flexible and adaptable to support business needs.
You should have a high standard of written and spoken English, senior management level communication and presentation skills and preferably a strong Law Enforcement / Investigative background. European commercial security experience will be well regarded.
The highest ethics, loyalty and confidentiality standards are required.
Job Role Responsibilities
Assist with the protection of personnel, assets and information (including enhancements as threat escalates) and the development of security business plans
Support the planning and execution of security programs for selected Company events and Executive Protection assignments
Coordinate with engineers to apply proven security technologies to global operations
Conduct and coordinate investigations
Assist in risk reduction efforts and the implementation of security program reviews, surveys and training
Provide support to key business initiatives by developing and disseminating threat-related intelligence and guidance on required escalation measures
Establish and maintain liaison with national and local government and law enforcement agencies in order to ensure the timely flow of intelligence and threat which may impact the security of personnel and operations
Prepare threat assessments, security consideration summaries and corporate intelligence communications
Assist in the development of security procedures and implementation plans for technical security projects and in the evaluation of existing systems to ensure operational effectiveness
Develop strategies and plans for implementation of new or updated security practices, processes or requirements
Provide guidance on application of information protection guidelines
Participate in Emergency Response groups and deployments as appropriate
