War Child UK seeks an experienced security consultant to further develop War Child’s existing security risk management capabilities in country operations.
Key Objectives
The consultancy key objectives are initially suggested as a framework of tasks that are adaptable to the operating conditions and ability to reach key staff and offices:
Revise country security management plans and contingency plans
Conduct Security Risk Assessments to achieve minimum standards (MOSS)
Develop in-country risk management tools
Advise changes to SOPs minimising risk and vulnerability to WCUK operations
Support and mentor country security officer
Communicate and cooperate with relevant external security actors
Train and develop staff in safety and security (basic HET awareness)
Develop security monitoring of country operations (incident mapping)
Contribute to evolution of programme strategies and proposal development
Prepare reports as required
