Security Reconnaissance Team Leader - U.S. Expat (Notional Opportunity)

Primary Function


Responsible for the successful development, management, and oversight of a viable SRT program to include all personnel, material, training and operational requirements for the program. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions


Shall interface directly with the U.S. Government supervisory personnel whom shall be designated as the company POC
Acts as the direct/first line supervisor for all personnel assigned to the SRT Team
Provide site reconnaissance, project site reporting, liaise with local leaders and populace in support of reconstruction goals
Ensures proper accountability, maintenance, and repair of property and equipment assigned to security personnel
Mentors, trains and manages subordinate security personnel
Ensures that all security personnel are properly training and equipped to function in their assigned positions and are fully aware of their duties, responsibilities, and rules for the use of force.


Job Requirements

Shall be fluent in English speaking, reading and writing
Must qualify semiannually with all assigned weapons (including safety functions, capabilities, limitations, and maintenance) IAW US Department of the Army Standards
Must possess a Military background of not less than six (6) years or have equivalent training
Must have reached the grade of E-7 or greater in a combat arms MOS, successfully served in a supervisory role for at least one year at the platoon level or equivalent, and received an honorable discharge (all verified by military transcripts and evaluations)
Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret Clearance
Must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age or older
Must be able to perform the following physical tasks:

(1) Drag, carry, lift, and/or pull a person to safety
(2) Use physical force to detain a subject or prevent unauthorized entry
(3) Prolonged standing and/or sustained patrol on foot or in a vehicle
(4) Sustained pursuit of suspect on foot
(5) Dodging, crawling, climbing, and/or rapid ascent of stairs
(6) Perform the above wearing duty equipment and/or personal protective equipment under adverse environmental conditions

Intermediate user level of computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database applications, and documentation control systems
Must possess valid passport and travel/work OCONUS
Must have valid driver's license
Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work
Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements, to include an Annual Physical Ability Test
Must have or be eligible for US Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
Ability to travel to, and/or work in, an austere, hostile, or remote location.
