Barbaricum seeks Logistics Advisors to provide support to a State Department customer and the wider mission of the Partnership for Regional East Africa Counterterrorism (PREACT) to improve the capacity and resilience of East African governments and civil society in order to counter violent extremist threats.

Responsibilities
Conduct an initial capability assessment within 90 days of the following: organizational structure; information management systems, procedures and content; logistical planning capabilities and procedures; fiscal practices and financial planning capabilities as they pertain to the logistics enterprise; existing logistics personnel structure; existing logistical infrastructure and equipment including SOPs, tools, services and supplies; capability gaps that prevent the Kenyan military from attaining self-sufficiency.
Conduct quarterly gap analysis.
Plan, design and conduct training for Kenyan Defense Forces (KDF) Directorates.
Provide advisory services to the KDF Logistics, maintenance and Supply Depot.
Provide ongoing monitoring.

Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance required
Five years’ experience working in Central or East Africa (Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Central African Republic, Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Tanzania).
Five years’ hands-on experience working as an enlisted member or officer of the U.S. military in a logistics MOS (U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, or U.S. Air Force) at the S-4 section, with at least two years working at the Brigade staff level.
Two years’ experience developing and delivering training modules to foreign militaries. Experience may be demonstrated by serving as a 91Z58 Chief Instructor or equivalent.
