Responsibilities
Manages and directs guard operations on a day-to-day basis under direction from DS/RSO.
Plans, manages, and evaluates guard force operations.
Ensures that all guard personnel are aware of and abide by all Post and general orders.
Coordinates with PRS leadership.
A bio approved GFC is authorized to permanently fill the position / labor category of the Guard Shift Supervisor (GSS) in case of shortages with the approval of the CO or COR.
Qualifications
US citizenship required
Level three (3) language proficiency of the TCN guard force is preferred.
US Passport and US State Driver's License required
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/). This requirement may be substituted with an additional four (4) years of experience as stipulated below.
Must possess a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience as a military officer or non-commissioned officer (NCO) (at US E-6 or above or equivalent), or equivalent law enforcement/armed commercial guard force supervisory experience.
Military discharge must be Honorable
Experience must include physical security, access control, and force protection, and must be similar in complexity and scope to the specific requirements of the task order.
Experience may be gained in the employ of any federal, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the guard training course
Upon approval, and before beginning work on the contract, the GFC shall:
Attend and successfully complete the applicable guard training course
Attend and successfully complete the supervisor training course
US citizen and TCN guard personnel shall qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun, re-qualifying as required by the task order. LN guard personnel shall obtain firearms qualification on those firearms specified in the task order.
Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance/public trust certification as identified in the task order.
Complete the WPS Physical Readiness Test at the 65% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order.
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific.
