Field Security Manager , Iraq

Job Purpose:


To enable the Client's uninterrupted production and export of oil and gas.

Responsibilities (Functions and Duties):
The Field Security Manager is responsible for the operational readiness of all security personnel at their sites.
Ensure that Security Supervisors and Deputy Security Supervisors manage all administrative requirements for local national security personnel, i.e., shift rotations, annual leave, sick leave and salaries.
Establish and maintain rapport and effective communications with Client managers, i.e., attend daily meetings and brief client on the security situation.
Accept the leadership challenge by developing, mentoring and training security personnel in positions of increasing responsibility, i.e., Shift Supervisors, Senior Guards and Guards.
Duties include development of security procedures, management of site security, emergency evacuation procedures, contingency plans, training and inspection of the local national private security force, coordination with Government security agencies and coordination of road movements.
Write, submit and ensure the quality and accuracy of the following reports:
Client transport and security support requests for road movements of Client personnel.
Daily and weekly situation reports.
Weekly logistics report.
Daily and weekly personnel reports for Client and FSG personnel.
Weekly financial report.
Serious incident reports.
After action reports for any crisis management activities.
Training reports.
Provide operational leadership, management and supervision to third country national and local national security personnel in the performance of their assigned duties.
Provide security procedures briefing for all personnel on site.
Investigate incidents including security breaches and make recommendations.
Ensure that all performance objectives are met in accordance with Project requirements.

Note: The Field Security Manager will also be required to establish and maintain relationships with national and local law enforcement and related Government agencies.



Role Reports:

The Field Security Manager reports to Project Security Manager.

Experience:
Should have a minimum of 4 years’ military, law enforcement or high threat private security experience.
Should also have a minimum of 3 years' leadership and security experience. Provide evidence of the practical application of skills in areas such as security reviews, audits and risk assessments.
1+ years' international security experience.

Qualifications:

Mandatory:
High school graduate.
Generalist security qualification such as; Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP).

Desirable:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in related safety and security field.

Specialist knowledge required:
Must be fluent in English and have excellent verbal and written skills, allowing engagement with the Client. Specifically, this should be at least equivalent to Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Listening and Speaking Level 3+ (General Professional Proficiency, Plus).
Additional language skills, Arabic, are advantageous.
Must have adequate IT skills and demonstrate ability to use software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must have a professional knowledge of project management.
Must have finance skills, enabling budget planning.
Should have experience and knowledge of evaluating, developing and managing safety and security training programs.

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be able to pass the FSG fitness test.
Must be able to pass a background investigation from home country or country of current residence.

Additional Information:

During the probation period, the Field Security Manager may be expected to attend the International Security Specialist Program (ISSP). All personnel are required to pass Modules 1-3 of the course (which may take up to 38 days).

Thereafter the Field Security Manager will receive continuation training throughout employment in areas related to safety and security.
