Hiring Criteria
* British & Commonwealth passport holders* – see note below
* Minimum junior Non Commissioned Officer or equivalent (command troop corporal, or signaller);
* Technical ability to fault find and repair comms issues on HF and VHF equipment
* English proficiency (written and oral);
* Good understanding of radio voice procedure;
* Conversant with Iridium, Thuraya and GPS systems
* IT literate;
* Clear criminal record for last 10 years;
* Ability to operate well under pressure
*All candidates will need to be screened to SC level – or eligible for screening so only British & Commonwealth passport holders can apply.
Start Date
TBC – subject to further confirmation/interview/client vetting/interview and induction
Rotation
8 weeks on, 4 weeks off

We offer a competitive daily rate (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty)

Proviso: You must have been resident in the UK for at least two of the previous 10 years immediately prior to your application, at least one year of which must have been a consecutive twelve month period unless you have served overseas with HM Forces or in some other official capacity as a representative of Her Majesty’s Government, or have lived overseas as a result of your parents’ or partner’s Government employment.
Duties
* Man the Embassy Operations Room over a rotating 12 hr period
* Coordinate/monitor all communications traffic for the mobile security teams when deployed on the ground;
* Coordinate the deployment of Quick Reaction Force and others medical assets in response to an incident within Embassy compound or involving mobile protection teams in conjunction with operations manager/OSM
* Logging and Upkeep of all statistical information required for client
* Keep receipt of all movement requests from client.
