The National Mission Brigade (NMB) G3 Plans Trainer/Mentor shall train operational planning processes & procedures from the tactical to strategic levels. The Trainer will implement & operate programs, practices, & procedures for developing optimal utilization of personnel to execute Special Operations across Afghanistan. Design & administer programs to train all levels of personnel assigned to the G3 section. Must coordinate with ANASOC & SOK Advisors. Must develop tests & visual aids & coordinate class arrangements, conduct training classes, & develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Must remain abreast of training & development research. Must develop programs & practices to identify developmental needs
• Monitor training & actively assists or provide direction as needed.
o Creating, maintaining, & delivering to the Team Leader & DPM all required data/information for monthly reviews and reports

Required Hours:
6 days/week for up to 10 hrs/day while OCONUS and 40 hrs/week while CONUS

Responsibilities:

Train using ANASOC techniques, tactics, & procedures
Reports to the NMB Team Leader, as well as the DPM
Regular interaction with US military personnel & select coalition force organizations
May be responsible for making on the scene decisions in order to conduct the TAAM mission
May be responsible for assessing how well the NMB Staff is grasping technical advice & assistance

Shall train the following tasks:
Will TAAM the NMB & subordinate organizations in various locations on the establishment of tactical, operational, & strategic policies while developing plans, directives, & estimates including training of forward-located Mission Command Packages/Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs).
Primarily TAAM the NMB G3 & G3 Plans Sections in areas including but not limited to, the following: tactical, operational, & strategic planning; unit training plans, operations, & concepts; adjacent & supporting unit coordination; assisting the commander & staff with synchronizing the staff to support operations; & integrate with conventional force operations as well as policing efforts, as required.
Will provide presentations, assessments, & reports as required by US military leadership in support of NMB operations.
Will review & provide input into MoD decrees & ANASOC directives as processes, procedures, tactical, operational, & strategic requirements evolve.
Contribute regularly to the development of new concepts, techniques, & standards to integrate Afghan Special Security Forces (ASSF); if required, integrate ASSF into the GCPSU & conventional forces.
The G3 Plans Trainer/Mentor has an expeditionary role & may perform Expeditionary Train, Advise & Assist (ETAA) missions to support the NMB.
May perform additional planning related duties as required by the client.

Required Qualifications:

Former E9/O4 or higher with military occupational specialty 18 series, combat arms, or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in operational planning at the Special Force Battalion/Group or service equivalent.
Competent in computer skills to include MS Office

A team player, able to integrate into a team; must possess ability to establish & maintain positive relations & rapport with the US Military, coalition forces, Afghan counterparts, & within the NMB Mentor Teams

Must possess a US Passport with 1 year remaining eligibility.
Must possess an active US Secret Security clearance
Must be able to obtain a Visa for Afghanistan.Physical & Mental 

Requirements:

This is an ARMED position. Must obtain & maintain eligibility to possess & operate a firearm in Afghanistan (AFG). Must successfully complete/maintain arming requirements including but not limited to: Psychological evaluation; Completion of Civilian Arming Authorization Management System (CAAMS) requirements/documentation & Arming Authorization Letter from US Forces AFG; Afghan weapons permit from the Afghan Ministry of the Interior.
Wear required personal protective gear: body armor, helmet, etc. Independently lift/carry duffle bags with a max weight of 70 lbs/piece & move across uneven terrain.
Work & live in AFG with potential assignment to any location in AFG based upon needs of the U.S. Government.
Meet medical requirements for position as determined by a pre-employment medical screening & published CONUS & CENTCOM medical deployment standards. Note: CRC will use MEDPROS data from the last 5 years of the previous service member’s records, ensure to provide pertinent & relevant medical information.
Walk or stand on level &/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear.
Work, live, & respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances in a potentially hostile environment - at remote locations, under austere conditions - with extreme aircraft noise, hostile fire, other acts of aggression &/or extreme weather conditions.

Comply with CENTCOM, CRC, Raytheon Corporate, Program Management, & Country Management Team orders, laws, rules. Directives, policies, & regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

Special Operations Brigade G3 Trainer with previous assignments in Armor, Infantry &/or Special Operations units, as well as experience at the Brigade/Battalion level or equivalent.
Experience training & advising partnered nation security forces.
12 months experience in Afghanistan
Experience as an Observer/Controller Trainer for G3 functions at a Combat Training Center.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree from accredited school & 6 yrs of related experience, Or 4 yrs related experience with Master's degree. 8 yrs of additional equivalent work experience (14 total yrs) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS107758
