NRC is looking for Security officer in our office in Severodonetsk, Ukraine.
Job description
Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Implement delegated NRC's safety and security policies function portfolio according to plan of action at office level
Prepare and develop status reports as required by Area manager or Security advisor
Ensure proper filing of documents
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Contribute to specific protection risks and needs analyses
Contribute to designing of protection response to identified risks and needs
Liaise with UN agencies, NGOs and other external actors to gain security information.
Conduct regular security and risk assessments to identify safety and security needs
Train staff in safety and security and provide regular briefings and updates
Immediately report all breaches of safety and security procedures and all threats to NRC staff, beneficiaries, activities or assets
Facilitate staff evacuation in emergency situations
Supervise, train and develop eventual security staff at office level
Ensure vehicle and staff movements are monitored according to procedures and that necessary safety and security equipment are available and in good condition
Prepare security updates and reports as required.
Qualifications
University degree
Experience from working as a Security Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Fluency in English, both oral and written
Basic Knowledge of the context in the areas NRC operates
Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian language
Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Above average computer skills
Knowledge of the context in eastern Ukraine
Education level
University
