Deputy Senior Security Manager-Lahore

Main purpose of job:
Responsible for operational and functional control of the contracted guard force [including regular out of hours checks on the guard force.   Liaising and maintaining strong links with the host nation security services. Management of access control and maintaining oversight on physical and procedural mitigation measures, conducting regular drills to test and develop resilience of the contracted guard force throughout the BHC compound and both on and off compound residences.

Maintaining the radio network, through sound accounting and serviceability of equipment.



Maintaining detailed records of Radio equipment issued to staff.
Maintaining detailed records of monthly Radio checks.
Line management of the Security Liaison Officer Lahore.
Supporting and assisting the Security Liaison Officers visiting Lahore and those utilising Lahore as a forward operating base.

Roles and responsibilities :

Maintain and monitor search statistics at all sites.
Coordination of training requirements for A2 Security Liaison Officer
Lead liaison with guarding contract Operations Manager for training and drills.
Conducting regular out of hours checks on the guard force [attracting 12.5% SDA].
Responsible for briefing staff on the use and maintenance of radio equipment.
Host nation security liaison at work and residential compounds.
Digital Radio Equipment issue, accounting & briefing.
Property security infrastructure [alarms & briefings].
Guarding support for events within Lahore
Monitoring works requests.
Line Management of the A2 Security Liaison Officer.
Prepare and deliver security briefs for staff working and operating in Lahore.
Maintain the radio users database and advise on stock levels on a monthly basis.
Accompany UK Based and LE staff on official visits out of Lahore and selected locations inside Lahore.
Conduct liaison for the visits to different cities of Pakistan and compile briefings about key features at each location.
Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure appropriate security arrangements are made for out of Lahore deployments.
Check all routes/ Weather and Communication Plan against the Travel Risk Assessment (TRA) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) prior to the visit.
Conduct a briefing for drivers and officials prior to the commencement of any official visit.
Carry out reconnaissance of the location to be visited where required.
Ensure that all visit support equipment is issued and functional.
To deal with host nation intelligence agencies who present themselves at the various venues/ meetings or otherwise attempt to contact staff during the field visit.
Prepare detailed post visit reports after each visit and log them in shared area for the future references. Also advise; the OSM, SSM and RAA of any concerns or issues for travel etc.
Ensure full compliance with British High Commission standing operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide complete details to the Control Room regarding staff before departure for the visit, and keep them informed throughout the whole visit.
Submit daily security related news, including rallies or protests from different sources to OSMs / SSM /RAA / DFID / Control Room.
Perform duties at events as required eg: QBP and other Major events
Any other duty as directed by the duty OSM, DOSM, SSM or PSO.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
Previous experience working for a disciplined organisation, armed services, police or at least 3 years experience in liaison and security management.  

Driving Licence

Organisational & Time Management skills

Sound interpersonal skills and effective oral and written ability.

Language requirements:

Language: English and Urdu

Level of language required: Excellent English & Urdu verbal and written skills required.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Skilled Information Technology user.

Good standard of oral and written, in one or more of the following; Punjabi, Sindhi, Hindko and Pashto.
