HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking dynamic OCONUS Linguists with in-depth experience in the IC. The ideal candidates will have intimate knowledge of the NMEC mission and/or experience working on a language analysis contract similar in size and scope to LION. This opportunity is for the Linguist Intelligence Operations NMEC (LION) contract. Expected award date is the first quarter of 2018, with an approximate contract start date of 1 July 2018.
Established in 2001, the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) coordinates Intelligence Community (IC) efforts to analyze and disseminate information gathered from 6paper documents, electronic media, and electronic equipment seized by the U.S. through military and other intelligence-based operations. Under NMEC, seized media is collected, processed, exploited, and disseminated across Intelligence and law enforcement communities in support of National Intelligence missions. Work is expected to be performed both in the National Capital Region (NCR) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews, exploits, and provides accurate translations and transcriptions of documents and digital media to identify, extract, and disseminate relevant intelligence information in response to customer and intelligence requirements;
Performs quality control activities to ensure work products provided to mission operations and senior-level customers are highly accurate and error-free;
Translates technical materials, writes and speaks in a clear and concise manner from target language(s) to English and vice versa.Provides cultural and ethnic context of translations;
Possesses a basic knowledge and understanding of computer, audio, and video storage mediums.Able to perform device downloads.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required-
Must meet the LION program deployment requirements;
General professional proficiency in one or more foreign languages (level 3 for reading and listening on the Interagency Linguist Roundtable (ILR) 5 point scale).Level 3 reading and listening for English;
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and handle changing requirements in a dynamic environment;
Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
Preferred-
Advanced knowledge of the Harmony database and Theater Exploitation Database (TED);
Background in DOMEX, translation services, intelligence analysis and dissemination.
Security:
Active TS/SCI clearance required
All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
