What Profile Are We Looking For?
Previous experience in security management in volatile environment mandatory as well as in INGO
ACF experience is an asset, and previous experience as Field Co highly appreciated.
You understand the humanitarian principles, code of conduct and specific sub-sector work linked to NGO field and operations contexts.
You’ve got strong excel skills (database, data analysis..;)
You have good communication skills, your ability to work in a multicultural team and your stress management skills are acknowledged.
Fluent in English, Arabic / Kurdish language skills are a plus.
Conditions and Renumeration
Status:
Contract: 12 months fixed term contract under French legislation
Remuneration and benefits :
Monthly gross salary from 1805 to 2305 upon experience.
Per diem and living allowance: 487 € (cf eurocost) net, field paid.
+ 12 % of monthly gross salary as country allowance
+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen.
+ Child allowance, limited to 5 children.
Transportation and accommodation:
Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.
Individual room in guesthouse covered
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance.
Leave and RnR :
25 days of paid leaves per year.
+ 20 RnR per year.
+ 215 € at each RnR period (averagely every 3 months – prĂ©ciser si mission plus favourable).
Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference.
Training:
Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Cross knowledge ©.
Technical training's at HQ or regional level (averagely 1 per year).
Work Context:
The ongoing opening of a base in Mosul (highly volatile environment) will require a close follow-up (context analysis, implementation of new security procedures etc)
2018 strategy aims to extend ACF presence in Central/South Iraq with security assessments to come (under discussion)
The recruitment (under discussion) to come of a National Security & Liaison officer will require capactiy building.
As of today, ACF Iraq is operational in Erbil and Dohuk Governorates of Kurdistan region of Iraq, as well as in Ninewa Governorate of Iraq, and is working on the expansion of its response to South and Central Iraq. Throughout 2017, ACF has been implementing its humanitarian response in Iraq with an integrated, multi-sectorial approach, addressing WASH, MHCP, Food Security & Livelihoods, as well as Nutrition-related needs of the Syrian refugees and the Iraqi IDP population in camp and non-camp settings. In 2018, ACF is willing to continue the provision of humanitarian response in the areas still presenting urgent needs while designing and rolling out post-emergency / recovery interventions.
As of December 2017, ACF’s team is running operations of approximatively 9 million EUR. The main donors of the mission are OFDA, SIDA, UNICEF, OCHA, WFP, RDPP, SDC, CDC and ACF.
ACF is strongly involved in the coordination mechanisms, is an active member of the national WASH, FSL, Health, Protection and NFI/Shelter Clusters.
