Summary:
The Munitions Systems Specialist in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, shall control, account for, store, ship/receive, inspect, maintain, assemble, and deliver conventional and precision guided munitions. Manage and maintain all assigned tools, test, and munitions handling equipment in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-201 or other local guidance.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Perform On-the-Job Training (OJT), administer Career Development Courses as required, and teach Field Training Detachment courses as required to upgrade RSAF 3-level technicians to 5-level technicians, 5-level to 7-level and perform other related duties as assigned.
The upgrade training will require hands-on demonstration and repair on and off the airframe or equipment as required for core and workcenter tasks in the Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP).
Inspect, maintain, assemble (including emergency build-up), disassemble and test assigned missiles, other Precision Guided Munitions (PGM), associated components, training items, support equipment and containers.
Perform Line Delivery and monitor munitions holding areas to preclude explosives and compatibility violations. The contractor shall assist in munitions reconciliation throughout the flying day and between aircraft goes as required.
Inspect, maintain and service assigned non-powered Munitions Materiel Handling Equipment (MMHE).
Assemble and disassemble, perform maintenance, test and repair of munitions to support operational requirements and the assigned stockpile and shall maintain conventional munitions, containers, dispensers, and assigned MMHE and training items.
Perform demilitarization of inert munitions, to the level required by item demilitarization code or IAW Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) procedures.
Monitor warehouse munitions stocks, maintain storage area infrastructure and facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure mission supportability.
Perform surveillance inspection duties IAW T.O. 11A-1-10 on munitions in stock, returned, movement, and in-use to determine and identify serviceability, potential hazards and possible deterioration.
Under direction of the Munitions Accountable Systems Officer (MASO), implement management controls for munitions assets, record munitions transactions, and manage allocations, stock levels, inventories, requisition, and disposition of munitions. Maintain and validate accountable and auditable records.
Direct, coordinate, and monitor ongoing scheduled and non-scheduled munitions/weapons maintenance activities. The contractor shall provide supervisors and managers accurate and timely information on the status of all explosives operations, emergencies, and contingency actions.
Plan, schedule and coordinate with munitions accountability and maintenance supply liaison on all Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) requirements and prepare quarterly rolling forecasts, monthly plans, and weekly schedules.
Required educational/skills background:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years’ previous experience in Munitions duties.
