Recently Oxfam adopted a new operating model where our country teams are managed through Oxfam International with Oxfam GB responsible to ensure that country teams have effective and efficient operating platforms, systems, policies, processes and capabilities to enable our programme work. To enable this Oxfam GB has created a team that consist of functional roles to support business delivery. These roles are all new and are clustered by geographic area to work closely with country directors, the OI regional Platforms, partner affiliates investing in countries we are supporting and headquarters for Oxfam GB, Oxfam International and where relevant, other partner affiliates.

Practically the roles in these units work together in a cross-functional way to ensure maximum benefit to country teams.



To support the Oxfam EA Node work in Africa, we are seeking to recruit a Counter Fraud Specialist who will principally support country teams to deliver Oxfam’s counter fraud strategy. H/She will provide tools and training for countering fraud and corruption in Oxfam programmes and business support as well as being a resource investigator working closely with the EA Counter Fraud Manager to enable country teams to prevent, identify and investigate fraud. The person will also provide advice and guidance on fraud and corruption, and contextualize Oxfam’s approach to countries to ensure legal compliance and the effectiveness of fraud and corruption approaches.



What we are Looking for

We are looking for an experienced Counter Fraud specialist who holds Accreditation as an auditor or accountant /Holds a counter-fraud or investigation qualification (e.g. law enforcement, CFE), /Has substantial relevant professional experience. H/she should have good knowledge and experience of occupational fraud and corruption and its deterrence, prevention and detection. Experience of conducting fraud or corruption investigations, including conducting interviews with witnesses and suspects and taking witness statements will also be essential
