Job description
We are seeking a Security Specialist to support the MCESS Program Manager as the Action Officer responsible for coordinating, researching and addressing daily action items. Qualified candidates must have an Active Secret Clearance. The Security Specialist coordinates, supports and assists in program-level meetings, special advisory boards, working groups, and other program-wide activities.

As a Security Specialist, you will:
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Electronic Security Systems project reviews, to ensure proper design and implementation. Provide Subject Matter Expert guidance and
direction to the TSA and subordinate Commands on MCESS design and implementation.
• Assist with daily oversight and coordination with the MCESS Technical Support Agency (TSA). Review TSA evaluations of emerging technologies for inclusion into MCESS. Monitor the initiation and execution of physical security and MCESS projects using ESSIMS modules.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, analyzing, and revising Marine Corps Physical Security Program documentation as required. Documents include, but are not limited to: procurement initiation documents (PIDs), statements of work, delivery schedules, justifications / approvals, and Milestone A/B/C documents.
• Conduct Site Assists Visits for 32 Marine Corps installations to assist in the identification of security deficiencies and corrective actions. Assist with development and review of Marine Corps Orders and Directives pertaining to Physical Security and Crime Prevention.
• Participate in various DOD working groups to develop IP security policies and procedures in accordance with emerging technologies and applicable doctrine. Record action items during program-level meetings and ensure that the action items are answered in a timely manner. Identify project shortfalls, as well as assist with the development of budgetary responsible solutions, and recommend mitigation measures and/or solutions.
• Review security requirements and approve ESS project cost estimate requests submitted by Marine Corps installations as needed. Plan physical security systems, which will provide system capabilities required for projected workloads and plan layout and installation of new system or modification of existing systems.
• Perform site surveys and physical security assessments to assist subordinate Commands with physical security planning, design of passive and active security measures, vulnerability concerns and adherence to security policy.
• Assist the Program Manager with the development and deployment of the Enterprise Access Control System. Coordinate with and assist installation Commanders with the implementation of system.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree PLUS 5 - 10 years' experience in physical security.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
