Responsibilities
Strategic management:
• Develop and implement global standards and strategies, including:
• Security management guidelines for all NCA activities
• Global guidelines and formats for safety training and security management
• Development of crisis management and emergency preparedness exercises at headquarters and country offices
Operational implementation:
• Quality assurance plans at country offices and in humanitarian operations.
• Arranging and implementing different security courses at main office as well as country offices.
• Continued support and training / capacity building at the country offices.
• Support and advise management at home and abroad in connection with concrete security challenges.
• Personnel management of a team of 4-5 international security staff as well as professional management of Security Focal Points.
• Written security assessments as well as written analysis of security situations. • Monitor and keep up to date on security trends and developments especially in high-risk countries.
Qualifications
• Relevant higher education at master's level, but long relevant work experience can compensate for lack of education.
• At least five years of security related work experience at strategic and operational level.
• Experience with analytical work.
• Experience with multicultural communication.
• It is beneficial if you have experience in assistance, crisis management, public administration, personnel management, voluntary work, and working in fields.
• Good written and oral formulation in English.
