OCONUS (AFSO) Assistant Facility Security Officer

CWU, Inc. is seeking (2) Two full-time OCONUS AFSO’s to provide security support services.

Location of performance may include: - Centcom AOR Region

JOB DESCRIPTION

The AFSO reports directly to the FSO and assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures as required by the Cleared Facility, the (DOD) Department of Defense, Central Adjudication Facility, and the National Industrial Security Manual (NISPOM).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Assists the FSO with the overall security program
Processes new employee security clearances
Tracks security clearance investigations and performs administrative support functions, including Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) administration
Provides security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel
Processes outgoing visit requests and certifications
Review required forms, processes, and screens security forms (SF85 and SF86)
Ensures document control security by safeguarding classified documents in accordance with the NISPOM and through coordination with government agencies, CWU management, and the FSO
Assists in preparation for inspections
Develop, implement and oversee federal security clearance program
Provide training for AFSO’s and classified/secure project personnel
Assist FSO with the company’s completion and retention of personnel security clearance records
Assist with self-inspection and review of security processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws
Oversight of company CUI processes and compliance
Support other company security disciplines as needed in connection with classified/secure projects: Legal, Information Technology and Corporate Communications Skills and Qualifications



QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Defense Security Service (DSS)-qualified FSO or 2 years’ experience in security programs as AFSO or in a related field
TS level clearance, preferred SCI
US Citizen
Strong knowledge of JPAS and e-QIP government programs, SF85 and SF86, DD 254 and DD 441, and SF 328
In-depth knowledge of NISPOM requirements, have strong computer skills and cyber knowledge
Must complete or have completed required training, including the Essentials of Industrial Security Management (EISM) and other related training
Must be able to interpret and implement security policy, provide guidance, oversight and assistance to company personnel
Must be able to demonstrate by knowledge and experience the ability to manage and oversee comprehensive Security Compliance Program
Must have excellent written and oral communications skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills, work independently and in team



The AFSO may supervise department activities in the absence of FSO to achieve maximum security requirements and continuity of team productivity

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree
Should have completed applicable DSSA courses
Preferred Certifications include any of the following: FSS, CPSO, ACAVS, CSSO
