Job description
DNO is Norway's oldest oil and gas company. DNO has a more than 40-year history and has interests from the North Sea to the Middle East and North Africa. DNO has a leading position in reserves and production in Kurdistan, Iraq operating the Tawke and Erbil PSCs.
Daily oil production is approximately 130,000 barrels per day.

Due to increased drilling activity, a full projects pipeline and increasing production, DNO is now seeking an experienced Field Security Superintendent to work on a 4 week-on 4 week-off rotation roster on a back to back basis. The Field Security Superintendent will be joining an international dynamic working environment characterized by highly experienced, skilled and motivated employees.

The Field Security Superintendent will be based in Kurdistan field and be a key member of the Kurdistan Security team. Frequent travel to DNO’s field locations in Kurdistan is required as an expectation of the job.

At present, the majority of production operations are centered on the Tawke field, which is located in the North of Kurdistan approximately 10 km from the Turkish border and producing approaching 130,000 bbl/d. The operating facilities consist of a Central Processing Facility with two (2) trains, a small refinery(diesel), infield pipelines/roads, 35+ wells, export pipelines, export terminal and pumping facility, camp facilities, workshops and warehouses/yards. Several drilling rigs are also active in the producing area. A second license of operations is the Erbil License North West or Erbil and the Baeshiqa License North West of the Erbil License.

Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for all drilling security, including rig sites and base camps.
Ensure effective security for DNO and subcontractor staff, equipment and assets, throughout the entire field BU (including remote locations, Drilling Sites and associated equipment).
Develop field security related plans for managing ongoing operations, including detailed incident response plans.
In support of the Security Manager - focal point for all field evacuation and emergency response planning and coordination.
Regular liaison with the local OPF Commander and the Asaish.
With the assistance of the OLS manage the daily administration of basic life support for the OPF allocated to the company’s field sites.
With the support of the Buildings Maintenance Supervisor, responsible for ensuring all defects within the OPF accommodation and camps are recorded and actioned, in a cost-efficient way.
Day to day management of field based security department providing access control and journey management to all field based sites.
With the support of the MovCon Supervisor, Manage the movement control (MovCon) and journey management tasking’s for all movement to and from the operating area.
Daily liaison between the company and its security service providers.
Oversee all security related projects and upgrades involving civil works projects.
Informing the Security Manager of any defects early, so remedial action can be implemented.
Oversee the accurate collation of data for, and distribution of, the daily Personnel on Board (POB) list.
Advise the Security Manager on local security related issues.
Manage rotation schedules for the company’s security staff.
Conduct regular equipment and maintenance checks, and maintain update records accordingly.
Assist the Security Manager in preparing the field security budget.
Assist the Security Manager with optimizing field security costs.
Compiling information and report writing for distribution to the Field and Erbil Management team.
Enforce compliance with the company’s Security Manual and all other security related company policies.
Conduct security related training where required.
Manage the development of national staff.
Responsible for annual staff reports (PDP’s).
Key member of the HSSE function in the field.
Operates in strict compliance with DNO’s compliance and ethics, HSSE and other Standards and Procedures


Required Qualifications & Experience :
Minimum 15 years credible prior experience in police, military or related security services.
Minimum 5 years in oil and gas related security role in challenging security environments.
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role in an industrial security related role.
Experience in the middle east is a must.
