POSITION SYNOPSIS:
Purpose of the role is to provide leadership and direction to achieve safe working environment, through the effective execution, investigation and analysis of Security activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Serious contenders will have a Degree Security Management and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a senior criminal investigative and/or preventative role of which 3 year at least in a supervisory capacity leading small teams;
Detailed knowledge related to effective control of security related risks is essential;
Experience in executing technical Security related work activities is essential;
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Mining Operation environment or medium sized capital project is an added advantage.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead, coach and mentor Security execution team members to deliver against performance targets;
Provides input to 5-Year Plan objectives and budget;
Owns the frameworks, policies and practices for the Security Function;
Drives the consistent expectations, understanding and application of Security processes to enable compliance with business and legislative requirements;
Manages relationships within the Security Function, Operations as well as external stakeholders;
Owns the material Risk Profile for Security and verifies material risk critical controls are appropriately designed, deployed and effective;
Endorses the resultant investigation findings for investigations that meet the Business/Operation-defined risk threshold;
Protection of HMM employees, agents and contractors from harm arising from criminal activities;
Protection of HMM assets from loss through implementation and management of a multi-disciplined security risk management program;
Govern best practice security processes and controls for the mining environment.
