Description
ICITAP is a law enforcement development organization whose mission is to work with foreign governments to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.
ICITAP requires a Law Enforcement Instructor to serve on a Train-the-Trainer team responsible for preparing 60 – 75 instructors for each new patrol department established in Ukraine.
Current police officer with experience teaching tactical training to police cadets.
A candidate’s training experience exceeding the minimum requirements can compensate for the lack of a Bachelor’s degree.
A candidate that is retired can be considered if taught tactical subjects in a police academy in the last 5 years.
The candidate will provide Odesa and Dnipro instructors training in tactical response for up to 18 days in Kyiv
The candidate is expected to have experience in one or more of the following subjects: defensive counter-measures, wound care, vehicle and linear assaults, high-risk traffic stops, active-shooter response, and covert searches and high-risk planning.
The candidate will ensure that the use-of-force decision-making and other procedures taught in the course comply with Ukrainian primary and secondary legislation.
Required Qualifications
Currently serving as a police officer with 10 -12 years of experience
Bachelor degree or higher in criminal justice or related field (comparable work experience accepted)
At least 1 year experience serving as police tactical trainer
Must obtain Public Trust clearance prior to deployment which requires US citizenship as per the Government contract requirement
Desired Qualifications
Current tactical trainer in a police academy ( large organization )
Outstanding communication skills in the training arena
Ability to make recommendations on specialized training programs
