Job purpose and key deliverables

Periodically assist the Head of Security for Turkey in leading the security work stream and execution of corporate security issues; ensure a continuous, co-ordinated and comprehensive risk management and security service, of the highest quality, ensuring that threats to company personnel, assets and business operations/activities within Turkey are properly identified, evaluated and countered in a timely and cost effective manner in order to accomplish goals and objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Facilitating and co-ordinating the Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery process and Business Continuity Management process across the Area.

Provide timely advice based on analysis /assessment of security risk / threat and impact on the business to enable well informed Head of Security in conjunction with risk owners and stakeholders.

Understand the threats and the mitigation measures required to protect company personnel and assets to meet local security requirements.

Assist Turkey Head of Security counselling particularly on Information Security, Security Risk Management with mitigation plans, Fraud and Loss Prevention related matters, Incident Management, Corporate Governance, Loss reporting and compliance with the relevant standards, manuals and best practices.

Demonstrate ability to explain complicated and technical security issues and concepts in writing, including identification of relevant business considerations for decisions.

Report and analysing of any whistleblowing matters as directed by Head of Security.

Effectively communicating with company personnel in an endeavour to resolve.

Conducting a comprehensive security training programs & induction programs for employee security awareness.

Contribute support to AIT enforcement by working closely together with AIT Team to tackle illicit trade problem as requested.

Conducting Timely and efficient investigations including fraud investigations, to meet evidential standards to reduce potential court cases and compensations through effectively response to any incident.

Successful coaching and development of sub-contracted security guards.

Ensuring Cash in Transit Contract and service quality meet BAT standards and Positive feedback from relevant business units.

Ensuring Manned Guarding Security Service Provider’s contract and service quality meet BAT standards.

Provide necessary security support to international staff/visitors on ‘in country’ security issues in Turkey within the knowledge of the Head of Security.

Minimise any loss arise from criminal and natural disaster related incidents and maximum recovery through effective investigations.

Manage and maintain security/security related budgets for Security Department including HQ, Distribution Centres by monitoring in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner.

Supporting Manufacturing Efficiency through investigations and risk management activities.

Build and maintain intelligence networks including, high level in-country liaisons with credible law enforcement agencies, government intelligence services, security service providers, key government authorities, non-government organizations, security industry representatives and other corporate security managers.

Any other security related tasks out of above accountabilities given by the Head of Security.

Essential requirements SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE




Good understanding of the BAT business operating model and processes and the key business issues

10 years total experience in either international or national security which includes corporate, private contractor, military, law enforcement, or government intelligence service. Experience will include a minimum of 2 years as an international level.

Ability to communicate complex subjects effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to achieve optimal balance between cost and quality.

Thorough knowledge of local security industry.

Able to carry out assessments and fraud/incident investigations, managing crisis and emergency situations and adjudicating facts in order to reach logical and ethical conclusions.

Relevant risk assessment(s) of the potential threats to personnel, assets, information, installations and business operations, and take appropriate security/ mitigation measures including the development of procedures and plans.

Extract maximum value from outsourced service providers.

Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external clients at all levels.

Specialist security certification is preferable (CPP, PSP, CFE etc.).

Above average writing, communication, persuasion, and consensus building skills.

Logical reasoning and persuasiveness

Strong English skills an advantage.

The Security Risk and Resilience Manager reports to Turkey Head of Security on the security status and measures to ensure that appropriate security standards are maintained consistent with actual or potential risk/ threat levels.

Other Area, Country and Central Security Managers for functional support as directed by Head of Security.

Establishes and maintains operational/tactical relationships and works closely in partnership with SC Security Manager and Factory Security Executive.

Develop synergy and close working relationship with other functions (Demand Chain GM, Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Division Managers, Sales Finance, HR, Legal, IT, AIT and Finance Departments).

Close and effective relations with local Police, Military and other government agencies and Security Managers of other international and local companies in Turkey.

Establishes and maintains operational relationship with Security and CIT Service Provider companies.

Distributors and other Valued Business Partners to provide security advice and obtain support for business.
