SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Security Investigator for a project located at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Iraq. The Security Investigation team will be an independent entity reporting directly to the SOSi MSG corporate leadership team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Responsible for conducting investigations without fear of reprisal or conflict of interest and will have unfiltered access to the SOSi corporate leadership team
• Responsible for the conduct of security investigations to include recording and documenting of all incidents upon notification of security investigation requirement to include (capturing of all physical, photographical, chemical, and biological evidence)
• Investigation team will report crime scenes, document and collect evidence, interview witnesses, interrogate suspects and maintain case files
• Investigators will ensure physical evidence is searched for, collected and preserved during the investigation of any crime scene
• Investigators will be mindful of proper evidence collection procedures and its importance in the development of thorough investigations
• Investigators should be skilled in surveillance techniques required in the investigation of criminal activity when it is necessary to observe suspects or conditions in an unobtrusive manner
• Surveillance often generates new or additional information involving crimes under investigation, creates intelligence information, and often leads to firsthand observation of criminal activity
• Responsible for accountability and safeguard of evidence collected and stored in the evidence locker
• Work in coordination of the Corporate office as requested by the COR or directed by the PCO to access all information and evidence while conducting follow-up investigations
• Responsible for the safeguard of security file containers/cabinets, safes, vaults, and locked cabinets, offices, rooms IAW DoD 5400.7-R, AFMAN 33-302, the Freedom of Information Act Program, AFI 33-332 (US Air Force Privacy and Civil Liberties Program), AFPD 71-1 Criminal Investigations
• Perform all other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have been licensed at least one year or a minimum of eight years full time employment conducing law enforcement or security investigations or conducting private investigations working for a licensed firm or have one year of substantially equivalent training or experience (OSI, CID, Civilian Police IA, or Corporate Security Investigations)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience conducting security investigations in the Middle East, preferably Iraq or Afghanistan
• Previous military experience as member of USAF OSI, US Army CID, civilian police IA department
• Previous LOGCAP/AFCAP experience.
• Previous experience working with indigenous personnel (locally employed staff)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and austere
• Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
