Duties and responsibilities will include the following tasks:
As an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operator you will be expected to support military and civilian customer operations throughout the world as required. Candidates must be prepared to deploy overseas to austere environments throughout the world where U.S. Military forces may be involved in Contingency operations. Candidates should be prepared to collocate and embed with U.S. Military forces at remote or established forward operating bases and combat outposts as required. FSR candidates must have prior experience operating the ScanEagle, and must present ScanEagle Operator Training certification.
Minimum Requirements:
ScanEagle Operator Certified
Hold a current U.S. passport
Hold or be eligible for a current FAA class II medical certificate
Have a minimum of one year experience operating the ScanEagle UAS in a deployed environment
Have the ability to take direction and work well in a team environment
Additionally, you will
Conduct preflight planning to include mission briefings, analyzing weather forecasts, checking Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), Special Instructions (SPINs) and airspace requirements.
Evaluate customer's mission requirements and determine operational needs.
Coordinate mission specifics with UAS crew and Air Traffic Control (ATC) and review Airspace Control Plan and Mission Logs.
Execute mission and deliver full motion video and payload data.
Complete post-mission reports/logs.
Conduct demonstration flights.
Perform UAS and ground support equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Coordinate with Company subject matter experts to resolve issues beyond the scope of field maintenance capability.
Conduct and document maintenance actions.
Conduct inventory of UAS spares/components and reports cycle counts.
Conduct on-site formal/informal technical training.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be medically, dentally, and psychologically fit for deployment in accordance with CENTCOM Mod 12
Candidates should be prepared to perform job functions in extreme high and low temperatures
Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs. unassisted for a short distance
Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. while ascending and descending stairs, ladders, and ramps
Must have the ability to work in confined spaces
Minimum Security Clearance:
Must currently hold or be eligible for a DoD Secret security clearance
Preferences:
Performed ScanEagle operations within the past 12 months
