The Security Manager is the representative of the Global Security Team (GST) in Brazil and is charged with the security and risk management in Western Union locations. The Security Manager is an integral part of the regional and global security enterprise with vast responsibilities across the entire spectrum of security management. This position reports the LACA Regional Head for Physical Security.
Responsibilities
• The Security Manager is responsible for security management, crisis management, executive protection, physical, technological and operational security design and implementation.
• The Security Manager interacts with senior local executives as well office leads in Western Union spaces across the Brazil and works very closely with the Corporate Real Estate, Human Resources, Legal, Ethics, Etc.
• The Security Manager also supports executive protection (EP), event security and travel security to his/her country and facilitates meetings with local and federal law enforcement.
• The Security Manager will enable the GST to carry out its core mission statement which is to secure and safeguard the Western Union assets.
Core Duties
• Supports new openings by providing risk assessments, drawings reviews and physical security expertise.
• Conducts routine risk/threat assessments.
• Facilitating the completion of new building-opening checklists and follow on maintenance schedules.
• Manage vendors and schedule service dates Manage expectations and ensure timely completion of projects
• Provides security training based on GST requirements.
Experience
• Degree in Security, Professional Certificate Protection, Corporate Security or at least five years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience with access control software
• Understanding of low voltage technology (CCTV, Alarms, access control) and of basic networking concepts (IP addresses, MAC addresses).
• Experience managing and/or monitoring a CCTV and access control systems.
• Experience operating in enterprise systems with global reach Experience managing large scale projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders Experience with ticketing and request management applications.
• Experience with service management software and with guard force management.
• Highly proficient in all Microsoft applications - have the ability to learn and use new platforms.
• Be able to liaise with external security organizations in a professional manner.
• Be able to work and decision making in hostile, high complexity and pressure scenarios.
• English language
