Location: Home based with deployments worldwide. You will be deployed from your home country. You must be prepared to travel at short notice to emergency response countries (deployments are normally 3-6 months).

The post holder will have the opportunity to help strengthen Oxfam’s response to humanitarian emergencies by providing security management support to country and regional offices, including building security management capacity for the future. They will lead on security assessments, provide expert security advice, develop security management systems and provide security training to staff. They will spend most of their time on deployment.
We are looking for someone with significant practical experience of carrying out security assessments, and the planning and implementation of security procedures in the context of NGO or UN humanitarian operations. You should also have experience of delivering field based training and have very good spoken and written English and French language skills. You will need to be willing to be deployed anywhere in the world, at short notice, to offer security management support to Oxfam programmes.
