What is the role?

You could join us in the role of Security Manager to deliver a professional, efficient and approachable security service for Southampton Football Club Group sites. This opportunity will report and make recommendations to senior management regarding security strategies and processes. You will have overall responsibility for day to day security related operations with budget accountability.

This role will supervise and organise the Security team on a daily basis and ensure the team secures the sites, carries out full operational procedures and provides a high level of customer service to staff and visitors. A primary focus of the role is to ensure that the property portfolio of Southampton Football Club is secure and is continually improved to meet the growing needs of the business.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate how has exceptional people and leadership skills, who can handle challenging situations in a professional and assertive way. You will need to have experience within the field of Security, particularly looking after large property portfolios.

The competencies which are required include:

Experience

Proven experience within the Security industry.

Previous managerial experience managing a varied team of casual and permanent personnel.

Multi-site experience (desirable)

Working with high profile Companies (desirable)

Experience within the Armed Forces or Police Service (desirable)

Qualifications (incl. certifications)

Valid SIA Licence holder in Door Supervision

Valid SIA Licence holder in CCTV

Full Drivers Licence

First Aid

Fire Training

Valid SIA Licence in Close Protection (desirable)

NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or equivalent (desirable)

Safeguarding Training (desirable)

Health & Safety qualifications (desirable)

Skills

Proven ability to work towards stringent deadlines.

Ability to effectively communicate business decisions and changes to working practice clearly.

Capable of working under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns and hours of work.

Finely tuned political awareness to keep up to date with any potential threats.

Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A 'can do’ attitude and resilient character with the skill to manage expectations.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Sound judgement and decision making skills, with a 'hands-on’ problem solving approach.

Aptitude to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.

Good people management skills.
