PAE is currently seeking an Ramp Safety Advisors in Iraq to Support out US State Department Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center(BDSC).
DUTIES:
The Ramp Safety Advisor will be primarily based at PAE’s Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) in Baghdad, Iraq, and serve the Life Support Services contract in support of the State of Department. The Ramp Safety Advisor will be responsible for monitoring the daily safety of operations on the airfield. The Ramp Safety Advisor will be reporting to the Department of State (DoS) Airfield Management Office. The additional duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:
Observe, coordinate and communicate with organizations to ensure airfield operations conducted safely.
Responsible for ensuring activities on the airfield comply with safety standards, and the Airfield Procedures Guide.
Monitor all movement on the ramp and adjoining taxiway and report unsafe and unauthorized activity. This includes aircraft activity such as aircraft arrivals, parking, refueling, loading, towing, taxiing and departure of all aircraft.
Monitor vehicular and pedestrian traffic to ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
Maintain air-to-ground and point-to-point radio contact with aircraft to advise them of any potentially unsafe conditions.
Maintain events logs which includes: recording all radio communications with aircraft.
REQUIRED:
Citizenship: US Citizenship is required
Education: High School of equivalent
License: Must have valid Driver’s License from home country
Experience:
Minimum of Five (5) years of Aviation Operations experience.
Must be experienced in airfield operations.
Documented training and actual experience as an Aviation Safety Officer, Aircraft Marshaller, or Airfield Operations is required.
Must be experienced with aviation radio communications
Must be able to obtain and hold an airfield access badge and airfield driver's license.
Security Vetting: Must possess an active DOD or DOS Secret security clearance and maintaining eligibility for the duration of the contract
Certifications: Must be able to obtain and hold an airfield access badge. Training must include function specific duties related to military air transportation.
Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination
Language Skills: Expert professional, oral and written English communication skills, to present, facilitate and disseminate information
Work Ethic: Commitment to maintaining a high performance team which delivers customer service excellence
DESIRED:
Department of State experience
Three (3) years of international experience in challenging locations, preferably working in the Middle East, with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences.
