Airfield Passenger Screener

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Airfield Passenger Screener at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Iraq.

Essential Job Duties:

• Ensures that all employees/visitors, without exception, are to be checked by passing through a metal detector
• Performs 100% employee/visitor baggage screening at the entry point of the facilities
• Takes appropriate action in pursuing security breaches and other security related matters according to policy and/or confiscates and disposes of the item(s)
• Performs random and periodic manual checks of all equipment to include basic housekeeping and maintenance gage is scanned by an X-Ray machine capable of detecting metal, currency and prohibited items in accordance with laws and policies/standards, and that all baggage is cleared from all hazardous materials
• Utilizes portable anti-narcotic and explosive detection devices
• Performs additional tasks as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in personnel and baggage screening
• Demonstrated ability to perform as a Air Cargo/Baggage Screener , with a working knowledge of technical areas
• Successful management of multiple sites in geographically dispersed locations
• Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports
• Experience in effectively dealing with international and headquarters staff, and sensitivity to other cultures
• Exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
• Ability to pass basic physical and background checks sufficient for duty in an overseas contingency/military environment
• Possesses normal color vision as defined by the Ishihara Color Test or similar color perception test, and have visual acuity correctable to 20/20
• Ability to read, write and speak English distinctly and clearly to perform briefings and prepare records, reports, and other related weather products


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Preferred Requirements:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
• Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

Work Environment:

• Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
• Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
