Operations Manager - Crisis & Security Consulting

Location: Nigeria
Department:Crisis and Security Consulting(CSC)


Job Purpose
To support and drive the CSC  business with a focus area on excellence in operations management
& client engagement. The individual will ensure the delivery of commercial, administrative and
world class operational support and competence.


Tasks and Responsibilities

Operational Management
To support the Operations Director and Associate Director, CSC in the management or Nigerian clients and engagement of business development
To assist in the day-to-day management of embedded consultants and client requirements in Nigeria and  across West Africa
Support other Operations Managers with the management of all engagements tasks throughout  (West)  Africa as required

Ensure proficient cross functionality in the administration of all operations in  close collaboration with the Operations Manager  (Nigeria)
Hands-on brand ambassador ensuring the creation and development of business opportunities with both new and existing clients
Maintaining and expanding client relationships through collaborating with clients to identify needs and opportunities to ensure delivery of high quality work
Identify and advise on opportunities to improve operations management processes and implementation
To assist in the implementation of local content strategy for the region
Promote the link between GRA analysts and embedded consultants to ensure effective lines of communication
Ensure that consultants are effectively supported by Control Risk
Engage with International SOS and Travel Security Services to identify areas of collaboration in business development and operational support
Support in the delivery of security consulting projects and tasks as might be  required

Business Development

To work with the regionalmanagement team in maintaining and developing  indigenous  client relations in order to grow existing contracts
To provide first line commercial support to regional management,
operations management and Global Client Services in all aspects of business development;
To assist in the creation and  management of sales leads
Proactively build and maintain solid relationships with decision makers and/or senior managers across the business, seeking out opportunities for collaboration

Essential
Extensive experience in a similar working environment
Operational management of a deployed team or personnel
ECOWAS passport holder
Experience operating in South and Northern Nigeria
Proficient IT skills - able to maintain online database and intranet platform for use throughout region
Excellent administrative skills
Ability to assimilate large quantities of new information and work efficiently  under tight and often multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred
State Security Service (SSS) and/or Professional Security Background

Qualifications and Specialist Skills
A degree in relevant disciplines and/or other appropriate professional
qualifications.
