General Description:

The Security Manager plans, monitors, evaluates and investigates all security and safety measures of the outlet. The Security Manager is responsible for performing regular risk assessments and incident analysis whilst ensuring that the department are fully trained for all tasks as required.

Job Description:

1. Manage the security department to maintain a safe environment
2. Responsible for adhering to budget guidelines for the department in accordance with the Annual Action Plan; this may include staffing, equipment and training costs.
3. Respect and apply confidentiality as required in the planning and implementation of security programs.
4. Oversee the activities of the department and assume control of any situation as required.
5. Ensure the team are well supervised.
6. Regularly train and develop the security team.
7. Be familiar with the company, including social and cultural aspects of the region.
8. Maintain company standards, policies and procedures.
9. Work shifts including evenings and overnight duty as required.
10. Conduct site reviews, write audit reports, review findings and make recommendations following this analysis.
11. Ensure all team members deal with guests, employees and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
12. Support the Operations Manager and HODs as required in conducting disciplinary meetings.
13. Monitor and evaluate team performance on key security issues.
14. Implement and update SOP as required.
15. Plan security programs and manage the team as required.
16. Assist company affiliates as required.
17. Perform incident analysis reports and investigate all incidents as required.
18. Conduct regular risk assessments, accounting for threats relative to the local region as well as the type of workplace.
19. Act as First-Responder in the case of an incident or medical emergency and ensure the Emergency Services are requested as required.
20. If required, ensure First-Aid treatment is conducted by a qualified First-Aider.
21. Issue disciplinary action to the department as required in accordance with SOP.
22. Be fully aware of fire and safety regulations

23. Create plans for security at Special Events and for VIPs.
24. Understand and comply to facilitate the operations of other departments.
25. Attend and assist with operation-team meetings as requested by management.
26. Operate in accordance with SOP at all times.
27. Work well with other employees to ensure compliance with security standards.
